A Truth to Believe

What does it mean that the Bible is inerrant and infallible?

Inerrant means "without error." This means the Bible contains no mistakes, no false claims, and no contradictions. Everything in it is right and true. When God gave us the Bible through human writers, it was perfect and without error in its original form.

Infallible means "incapable of error." Ultimately, God is the one who gave us the Bible. He is perfect, holy, and always does what is good and right. God is free from and incapable of erring. Since the Bible comes from God, it also is incapable of error.

Because the Bible is both inerrant and infallible, we can trust it completely. Everything it says is true, and God calls us to believe all of it. When we follow God’s Word, we are protected from lies, foolishness, and sin. We can trust every single word because the Bible will never lead us astray.

Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (Proverbs 30:5).

Something about Living

Whether in depth of sorrow or elation of joy, don't forget that there is one God reigning over this world. His throne is established from of old, he is robed in majesty and strength, he has established the world, and from everlasting to everlasting he is God!

If you believe in this glorious God it changes everything. Don’t be ashamed and afraid to live like he is real!

The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting (Psalm 93:1–2).

A Quote

Do you believe this life and eventual death are the culmination of your existence? They are not.

For those in Christ, death is the doorway to an eternal and everlasting life centered in God.

Because of this reality John Flavel writes, "Most men need patience to die; but a saint, who understands what death will introduce him to, rather needs patience to live."

Believer, the best is yet to come!

Nothing is more central to Christianity that the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Here are the books I have found most helpful and encouraging related to what Jesus accomplished on the cross.
